I'm Fidel Mendoza Jr. — Founder of Press Check and a multidisciplinary designer with over 13 years of experience turning ideas into compelling visual stories.

​Raised in the heart of the wine industry, I developed a deep appreciation early on for the craft, culture, and storytelling behind every bottle. That upbringing shaped not only my eye for design but also my passion for helping brands — from large producers to small, family-run wineries — bring their vision to life through meaningful packaging.

I’ve had the privilege of working with respected companies like Ca’ Momi Wines, BRONCO Wine Co, Gundlach Bundschu, Flying Blue Imports (where I served as Lead Creative Designer), and most recently, Fior Di Sole, where I currently work as a Production Artist. In this role, I collaborate closely with marketing and production teams to bring designs to life with accuracy and care across high-volume runs.

In parallel, I founded PRESS CHECK— a design studio dedicated not only to high-quality, strategic design, but also to supporting small wineries and emerging winemakers. I’m especially passionate about helping those just starting out — clients with tight budgets but big dreams. Whether it’s developing their first label or guiding them through the packaging process, I take pride in making great design more accessible and helping their vision take shape on the shelf.

With a background that blends creative leadership and production expertise, I’m now looking for a permanent role where I can continue to grow, collaborate, and make a lasting impact through thoughtful, well-crafted design.
